Treatment Philosophy
I believe most people have strengths within themselves that they can call on in times of worry or stress. Having someone to help bring out these characteristics is where I come in. Behavior change is the goal I focus on.
Approach To Treatment
Most therapy is problem oriented and solution focused as the patient sees the issue. Duration of treatment is usually short-term.
Treatment Focus/Participants
I work with adults, couples, seniors and older adolescents. I encourage the individual to bring a family member or significant other into a session if this other person would like to have input to treatment, which might add to the resolution of concern for the patient.
Areas of Specialty
I have been successful in treating anxiety, depression, marital discord, PTSD, phobias, LGBTQ issues, parenting and caregiver to aging parents using short-term treatment modalities.
